The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated a new yellow warning for adverse coastal phenomena for this Thursday, January 30. This forecast is in addition to the one activated for this Tuesday and Wednesday for the same reason.

Lanzarote is the only island in the archipelago that is on yellow alert for coastal phenomena from 2:00 p.m. this Tuesday until 9:00 a.m. this Wednesday. In addition, all the Canary Islands will be on alert for waves also on Thursday.

In the case of Lanzarote, at 3:00 p.m. this Thursday the wave warning is activated again, which will remain throughout the day, until 00:00 hours. Likewise, the forecast, which has a probability between 40 and 70%, expects combined sea from the north with waves of around four meters high. Meanwhile, the island will suffer northeast wind of 50 to 61 kilometers per hour, force seven.

The island of volcanoes and Fuerteventura are the only two that are free from the wind warnings that will accompany the waves at the end of the week.
