Adislan workers have decided to call off the indefinite strike and the concentrations planned for this Monday due to "the company's commitment to pay the September payroll during this week."
This was decided by the Company Committee, which added that "this weekend they have been paid the August monthly payment." However, the Committee warns that "they have everything prepared to reactivate the start of the strike and the concentrations at any time, if necessary."
The committee does not consider the problem solved, and recalls that "the extra payment is still pending payment and that there are no guarantees of collecting the next monthly payments." For this reason, it demands that the Cabildo of Lanzarote that, "as soon as possible, regularize the services with public places managed by Adislan." "And that until then, the formulas that are necessary to guarantee the collection of salaries, in a timely manner, of all the workers of Adislan are sought and provided," they add.
Finally, UGT Lanzarote and the Adislan Company Committee urge, once again, the Cabildo of Lanzarote to "immediately regularize the services managed by Adislan, through a social agreement or through the direct public management of the Cabildo, all without putting at risk any job and the quality in the provision of services."
