The workers of Adislan, who provide services in the accommodations and Day centers of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, have called an indefinite strike that will begin on October 3, due to the non-payments they have been suffering from the association.

From the Works Council, which had already publicly denounced this situation, they affirm that it has become "unsustainable", so they have decided to start the mobilizations.

According to them, the workers have not received the extraordinary payment for June, while from the August payroll they have only received 250 euros and with respect to the September payroll, "there is no forecast of payment".

"The management of Adislan states to the Works Council that it does not have money to pay the payrolls and that they have a significant deficit because the Cabildo of Lanzarote receives much less for the public places than the actual cost of its management", they point out in a statement.

In the absence of solutions, together with the strike they will also start concentrations in front of the Cabildo, under the slogan "Regularization now, we are without pay!"

The Works Council has also warned again that "the quality of the service will be affected due to the strike", and has launched a message to the Cabildo stating that "it can and should solve this situation".

Therefore, UGT and the Works Council have again urged the Island Corporation "to immediately regularize the services managed by Adislan, through a social agreement or through direct public management of the Cabildo, all without putting at risk any job and the quality in the provision of the service".
