Luis Perdomo Rodríguez, mayor of Tinajo between 1979 and 1999, will have a street named after him in this municipality. Perdomo was born in the neighborhood of La Cañada, on Barrilla Street, which will soon be renamed after the former mayor of Tinajo for 20 years.
This initiative was unanimously approved in a plenary session held this Wednesday at the Tinajo Town Hall. The mayor, Jesús Machín, gave the news to Luis Perdomo during the proclamation reading ceremony in the Plaza de Los Dolores, in Mancha Blanca.
Perdomo was very surprised and grateful. Upon hearing the news, the audience present at the reading of the Los Dolores proclamation responded with applause. The mayor stated that "very soon" the plaque that appears as La Barrilla Street will be changed to Luis Perdomo Rodríguez Street.
