A small boat with approximately 41 people has been located 15 miles off the coast of Lanzarote, according to reports from the Emergency Consortium.
According to the Consortium, Maritime Rescue has gone out in search of the boat and arrived at the Arrecife Commercial pier around 1:30 p.m.
Among the occupants of the boat are 29 men, seven women and five minors. The migrants are of sub-Saharan and Maghreb origin and are apparently all in good health.
Once ashore, they were attended to by Red Cross personnel, who reported that four of them had to be evacuated to the Hospital for different pathologies.
