The LED-illuminated figures of the Teguise Christmas Nativity scene adorn the slope of the Guanapay Mountain once again, after the official lighting of the Christmas lights with hundreds of lights that stage the arrival of the holidays in the entrances, roundabouts and main squares of the municipality of Teguise.

The fortress of the Castle of Santa Bárbara, current Museum of Piracy, and the slopes of its mountain, which sport an unusual green mantle, serve as a real context "for the installation of a Nativity scene that, when night falls, offers spectacular lighting that attracts the attention of tourists and residents."

The staging of this Nativity, for which low-consumption lighting has been used, is part of a set of decorative elements that also adorn the Historic Site of the Villa, as well as the main entrances to the towns of the municipality, and roundabouts of Costa Teguise. In addition, the finishing touches are being put to the traditional living Nativity scene in the Plaza Camilo José Cela in La Villa.

Next Monday, December 10, the festive events designed by the Culture area to celebrate Christmas in Teguise will be presented, but in the meantime, the Education and Commerce area have already launched separate calls to participate in the Christmas Postcard Contest, -aimed at schoolchildren-; and a new edition of the Villa Craft Fair, which has opened the application period for stalls until December 14.
