Maritime Rescue intercepted a boat on the night of Friday, January 6, near the coast of Lanzarote, as reported by the Emergency Consortium. The boat was located about 15 kilometers from the island, around 8:30 p.m.

On the boat were 31 people of Maghreb origin, of which 27 are men, eight of them possible minors, and four women. They were transferred to the Commercial pier of Arrecife where they were attended by the Red Cross. All were in good condition so it was not necessary to perform any transfer to a medical center.
