The University of La Laguna will open an internal investigation into Jos Luis Zurita, a professor in the Journalism Degree, after a complaint on social media by a student accusing the professor of alleged humiliating treatment, abuse of power, and "arbitrarily" grading exams. In fact, the student has made public on Instagram the list of approved students from the last exam of the Informative Production course, in which only two people out of 96 passed.

"Nobody says anything, nobody complains, nobody stands up," the complainant commented in the publication. In addition, the student claims that the professor has made comments such as "don't write anymore," "leave it," or "go to Teide to write poems." The publication has been supported by many of the students in the course and other alumni, who allegedly confirm these behaviors in the comments.

Now, this informative file that the University of La Laguna has opened on Zurita will lead to an internal investigation by a department of inspectors associated with the university. However, for the moment it is unknown whether this will result in a sanction or not.
