José Juan Cruz presided this Thursday over the official inauguration ceremony of five local police officers as career civil servants, who have completed "1,200 hours of internships at the Headquarters of the Local Police of the City Council."
“On behalf of the corporation I represent, I congratulate you and wish you a fruitful professional career serving the citizens, in the prevention of crimes and in collaboration with the rest of the Security Forces and Corps,” said the first mayor.
“You are a relevant link in the construction of a society that guarantees the rights and duties of all citizens with an unquestionable respect for the rules that regulate our coexistence, equality, equity and diversity,” added Cruz.

In addition, the mayor took the opportunity to "congratulate the Local Police of Tías for the celebration of the day of their patron saint, Cristo de la Vera Cruz." After the inauguration, distinctive plaques were presented to another two agents for their permanence in active service for more than 35 years: Inocencia Martín Benasco and Miguel Lemes Melián.
The government team of the City Council of Tías, formed by PSOE and Unidas Sí Podemos, confirm their commitment to the "promotion of security and the provision to the Police Force of all the means and resources available to the consistory to facilitate their work."
In fact, two internal promotion officers of the Local Police of Tías will soon take office as trainee civil servants. To this promotion, we should add the future incorporation of four more police officers through the selection process of the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands.
