The international MICRO Conference, which has been based in Lanzarote for five editions, will begin next Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the rooms of the Atlántida Cinemas in Arrecife, which have been provided for this top-level scientific meeting. A total of 700 presentations on the most varied aspects related to global plastic pollution, from macro to nano, with particular attention to microplastics, will be debated by the nearly one thousand researchers from around the world who have come to this transcendental event.

Throughout the week, between Monday the 23rd and Friday the 27th, in the morning and afternoon, the most lucid minds in science dedicated to studying the impact of plastics on environmental and human health, will advance towards conclusions that aim to warn about the uncontrolled use, effects, and responsibilities surrounding this issue.

The Councilor of the Biosphere Reserve, Samuel Martín, will welcome the attendees to the Conference in the early stages of Monday's session.

For this tenth anniversary of MICRO, the "Voices of the Territory" exhibition hall has been set up, which brings together some of the citizen initiatives related to awareness and the fight against plastics in Lanzarote. The visit to the exhibition will be completed with a program of presentation of environmental projects by those responsible, among other actions that will be announced from their social networks.
