These events are held in coffee shops and are characterized by mixing party and health, something that its promoter, Daya Dadlani, assures that "can go hand in hand"

Reinventing yourself is always good, and the leisure world was not going to be less. The so-called coffee parties are a type of party that takes place during the day where music and specialty coffee are the two pillars of this new concept that is already being carried out in Madrid by Daya Dadlani from Lanzarote, who is only 22 years old. Therefore, Groove n'Coffee emerges as a new experience of sharing fun, music and vibes between people but without any alcohol.

Dadlani says that it all started when she worked as a DJ in a club at night but the excess of substances and alcohol was not something she liked, so after a year she decided to leave that job. At that moment, she decided to work in coffee shops with specialty coffees.

"In no way could I associate coffee, waking up during the day and arriving late at my house at night after my shift with nightclubs, noise, alcohol, problems..., so after working as a barista, I felt like dancing and having fun again," she says.

However, the young woman already had that rejection of everything that moves the night, so "I wanted one thing without giving up the other, on the one hand I wanted the calm and well-being that exists during the day, but also the fun and madness of the night". This is when this concept of coffee parties came to her mind and, according to her, "nobody saw the idea because everyone thought I was crazy." Therefore, she decided to put this idea aside a little.

When she saw that these daytime parties were already taking place in the United States, she decided to take the step and make them a reality in Spain. "As it was an idea that I had had, I saw it as a sign and I launched myself," she says.

Acceptance of coffee parties

According to Dadlani, the public's acceptance of these parties has been very uneven. "Either people loved it or they didn't see it at all, from my friends to coffee shops that told me they didn't want to make their audience dizzy," she says.

But like everything in life, there are people for all kinds of activities. "There were very open people with a lot of energy and a lot of enthusiasm to do new things, the key is to find the right people," she says.

Thanks to the success she is achieving, the young woman plans to bring the coffee parties to Lanzarote this August, specifically to Famara, although it will be best to keep an eye on her social networks so that no one misses the exact date.

The versatility of these coffee parties makes them an attractive option with nothing to envy from the night, since they are not held in a fixed space and, in the words of its promoter, "the idea is that it reaches every corner of Madrid because we believe that we have a very beautiful message of enjoyment and connection with oneself", always in a healthier way without alcohol or substances.

Along the way, Daya Dadlani has found coffee shops that accept to hold these events in their facilities in which she has already worked as a barista or, on the other hand, others that see what they are about and decide to bet on it as well. The young woman and her team are in charge of spreading the event, hiring a DJ and other tasks, which creates a "different" event that usually lasts about three hours.

A "modern and open-minded" audience

Those who prefer to change the cocktail for a specialty coffee are in an environment with a "modern, open-minded audience, regardless of age or neighborhood," she says.

"I have identified a pattern of very awake people who have a different sparkle in their eyes and who have a different enthusiasm for partying and health because the two things can go hand in hand," she says.

In addition, she points out that the variety of attendees is one of the characteristics of these celebrations because "it is a community of people that I had never come across, since there are many fans of yoga, running, sports in general and many artists, but also other types of people such as waiters, who are encouraged to enjoy these coffee parties."

Also, age is not an obstacle to enjoy this event because both children and older people attend. "We have had from children to grandparents accompanying them and I think it's very nice because they are modern and excited grandparents with life," she declares.

Specialty coffee, the king of these parties

As alcohol does not exist at these parties, the one who occupies the throne in them is coffee, but not just any coffee, but specialty coffee. "It is a slightly more curated coffee and hand in hand goes the music that I also contemplate as a specialty because I give a lot of importance to the DJs that we bring," she explains.

Good drinks are guaranteed at the coffee parties where, in addition to specialty coffees, they have also served mocktails, that is, non-alcoholic cocktails, although also teas. Without a doubt, a variety that works as a claim for the client.
