The Cabildo de Lanzarote has presented the diplomas of the 'Training Plan for Employment' to the students who passed the courses. The event took place during the morning of this Monday, July 29, in the Plenary Hall of the Island Corporation, and was attended by the Minister of Employment, Ascensión Toledo, as well as representatives of the different schools and entities that have taught the courses.

Ascensión Toledo congratulated the students after successfully completing the different training courses, which gives them "greater qualification and competitiveness" to be able to access a new job opportunity. “Our commitment to the education of citizens is firm and constant,” he said.

In addition, the counselor stressed the need to "continue supporting inclusive educational policies that allow students to access quality training." “Education is a right and a powerful tool for people,” he concluded.

The diplomas awarded correspond to the four completed courses: occupational risk prevention in masonry, taught by Educa Lanzarote for 20 hours; drone pilot for aquatic rescue, lasting 30 hours and taught by Exosfera Project; A1 level English training, offered by Think SCP for 70 hours; and finally, manicure and pedicure, developed over 104 hours by Esacan.

Likewise, this Training Plan also offers disciplines such as care for the elderly, hygiene and domestic health care, and English B1, which are still in force.
