The 2026 Summer Traveling Cinema session held this Thursday in Famara brought together more than 200 people in the back of the Teleclub, where the film Hormigaz was screened. The activity proceeded normally and once again confirmed the positive reception the project is having on its tour of Lanzarote.

The only incident of the day was the theft of the spare electric generator that Tenique Cultural had prepared as backup technical equipment. The theft did not affect the development of the screening, which took place completely normally and was well-attended by the public.

Tenique Cultural regrets what happened and points out that an event of this nature tarnishes a night that was otherwise particularly positive for the project and for the cultural gathering held in Famara. The organization reminds us that Summer Traveling Cinema is bringing together neighbors, families, young people, and visitors for outdoor cinema, and emphasizes that the theft of the generator set affects the entire community of Lanzarote.

Despite what happened, the series continues this Friday in Famara with the screening of Ex Machina, scheduled for 9:00 PM in the back of the Teleclub. Admission will be free until full capacity.

Tenique Cultural thanks the support received and encourages the public to participate again in tonight's session to continue making shared culture the protagonist of the summer.
