The supermarket chain Lidl has withdrawn from its stores in Canarias a batch of Norwegian smoked salmon with pistachio of the Deluxe brand and manufactured by "Compagnia del Mare" due to its possible contamination with the bacterium listeria monocytogenes.
The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (Aesan) has specified in a statement that it is batch LC22606501, packaged in a 100-gram plastic blister pack, with an expiration date of 18/04/26 and refrigerated.
Although the initial distribution has been in the Canary Islands, it is not ruled out that there may be redistributions to other autonomous communities, according to Aesan.
It is recommended that people who have products affected by this alert at home refrain from consuming them.
In the event of having consumed any of the products from the affected batches and presenting symptoms compatible with listeriosis (vomiting, diarrhea or fever), it is recommended to go to a health center.
