During the month of August, the Disgrup Foundation, in collaboration with the Khlipper brand, organized several promotional events in Lanzarote with the aim of raising funds for the development of Khlipper, an innovative robot dog designed to assist people with disabilities. These activities allowed the public to learn more about the project and its promoter, Guillermo Egido, president of the foundation.

Khlipper is not just a simple robot. Thanks to artificial intelligence, it will be able to converse with the user, remember their preferences and needs, monitor vital signs, detect falls via camera with facial recognition, and, in case of emergency, automatically call 112 and open the door via smart lock to facilitate access for emergency services.

The development of the software necessary for Khlipper to function fully depends entirely on the funding that can be raised. The Disgrup Foundation hopes that this development will be carried out in collaboration with one of the two public universities in the Canary Islands, thus also promoting local technological innovation.

This robot dog was in areas such as the Biosfera Shopping Center, in Puerto del Carmen, and in the Teguise Market. Also, the foundation assures that Khlipper will return to the island soon.

Guillermo Egido (President of the Foundation), Enrique Lucea (CEO of Khlipper) and Khlipper himself (Robot dog) were present, giving demonstrations, answering questions and explaining how anyone can collaborate with this solidarity cause that unites technology, inclusion and future.
