This past Tuesday, the presentation of the 'Inocencia Páez' library took place at the CEO Ignacio Aldecoa. In addition to the students and teachers, family members of Inocencia Páez and representatives of the Teguise City Council participated in it.
This space was born, in the words of the director, "as a meeting place with reading and knowledge, it also represents a posthumous recognition of Inocencia, a neighbor who always participated in the College's events."
Inocencia Páez, who died in 2007, stood out in La Graciosa for her fight to improve the living conditions of the island or for her poems dedicated to the Virgen del Carmen, a work that was collected in her books The Soul of an Island and Poems.
The Center's Library, in addition to an image of Inocencia Páez, has images of different Canarian writers on its walls.
