Five students from CEO Playa Blanca win the 1st Prize in the III Edition of the German Short Film Contest

A short film carried out with the aim of "making language teaching more enjoyable, and providing students with a different experience", says the teacher.

Five students from 1st and 2nd year of ESO from CEO Playa Blanca have obtained the 1st Prize in the III Edition of the German Short Film Contest organized by the Canary Association of Germanists. Yaiza Amorós, Nayra Espeso, Lola Manzano, Richard Monsalve and Nicolás Manole have been awarded for their short film "Zwei Welten, eine Freundschaft (Two worlds, one friendship)", which has won in the Secondary Education category.

The main students, together with other colleagues who act as extras and always under the supervision of David Pérez, their German teacher, with whom they worked for a month and a half in the realization of this project, both during school hours and after school, and filming not only in the facilities of the CEO but also in the town of Playa Blanca.

"Two worlds, one friendship", is a short film about the value of friendship above economic and social status, says David Pérez.

It should be noted that this is the third consecutive year that the teacher, David Pérez, has obtained this award, having also achieved it in his previous teaching stages in the islands of Fuerteventura and El Hierro. The main objective of this project is to "make language teaching more enjoyable, and provide students with a different experience that they will hardly forget", says the teacher.
