The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers return to Teguise to present a renewed and surprising proposal in the XI edition of the Enogastronomic Festival Saborea Lanzarote.
In addition to being co-organizers of the largest event of its kind held in the archipelago, the Tourist Centers will be present with a large stand, about 15 meters long, which will surprise visitors both for its modern and futuristic aesthetic, without losing sight of the original lines of César Manrique, and for its content, a sample of its gastronomic offer.
“We are presenting ourselves with a proposal that represents everything we are, designed to strengthen our connection with visitors and residents,” explained the counselor, Ángel Vázquez, who assured that the technicians and kitchen professionals of the Entity “continue working on the construction of new gastronomic experiences that contribute to giving visibility and valuing the work and effort of local producers.”
Visitors to the Tourist Centers stand, which will open its doors to the public at 10.30 am next Saturday, November 23, will have the opportunity to be surprised by some of the rich flavors offered in the Centers' restaurants: from the original cactus cuisine to the Octopus Rejo with yellow sweet potato puree and red mojo served in Jameos del Agua; from the dishes rescued from the traditional recipe books of the Casa Museo del Campesino, such as Coastal Noodles, to the Mini cuttlefish burger with black garlic aioli and arugula leaves that dazzle in the Castillo de San José; from the fresh cuisine served in the Islote de Fermina to the dishes illuminated by the heat of the volcano in the El Diablo restaurant, such as the Confit Secret in BBQ sauce.
As if all this were not enough, the suggestive sweet menu and a representation of the original cocktail proposal served in the Islote de Fermina make up a gastronomic offer full of surprises.
Television, the best music and gastronomic surprise
The stand will have a small Mediaset set from which the already ambassador of the Tourist Centers in the national market, Ángeles Blanco, will offer the minute by minute of an event that reveals a part of the much and good of the island's gastronomy.
One of the great novelties is the presence of a Carballino octopus cook, who will offer tastings of this delicacy of Galician gastronomy. “We are exporters of gastronomic creativity,” explained the counselor of the Entity, “but we also want to enrich ourselves with the knowledge of other cuisines recognized throughout the planet and strengthen our ties with other destinations in the Mid-Atlantic.”
Similarly, it will have a small space from which the dj’s Denis Rodd and Checha will offer their characteristic sessions with the most danceable music of the moment. DJ Denis Rodd will open the fire with a set between 12.00 and 15.00 on Saturday. For his part, DJ Checha will play the same Saturday, from 17.00 to 20.00, and Sunday from 12.00 to 15.00.
