A 30-year-old man has been arrested by the Civil Guard as the alleged perpetrator of up to eleven crimes of robbery with force, "all committed in a similar manner in hotel complexes on Avenida Papagayo in the town of Playa Blanca."
The arrest occurred in the early morning of November 17, when a Civil Guard patrol was preventively monitoring the area, following a series of robberies committed in several complexes. At that moment, a person alerted them to an alleged robbery that was taking place in a commercial premises, providing them with the description of the perpetrator.
When they arrived at the scene, the agents saw a person carrying a bag and also matched the physical description of the suspect. Upon seeing the agents, the young man fled the scene at a run, "ignoring their requirements."
After a brief chase on foot, A.G.M. was finally arrested by the agents, who seized several items of costume jewelry and cosmetics from him, which still had price tags. The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the corresponding Arrecife Duty Court.
