The strong gusts of wind in Lanzarote caused this Monday different incidents in Yaiza. The firefighters had to act to remove a tent that had flown away after the anchors came loose due to the wind and fell into the courtyard of the Civil Guard Barracks.
As explained by the Consortium, when they arrived at the scene, the tent was hooked on a tree. The troops proceeded to remove the canvas and dismantle the structure to deposit it in a safe place so that it could not fly away again.
The firefighters also moved to Volcán street in Yaiza to reposition the fence of a farm that had come loose from its anchors due to the action of the wind and was occupying the road. The troops removed the reed that was attached to the fence and discarded it.
