The Lanzarote Security and Emergencies Consortium intervened this Monday in a fire declared in a dwelling located on Tisalaya street, in the municipality of San Bartolomé, according to the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES)The notice was received at 16:03 hours, at which moment the officers moved to the scene of the incident. Upon their arrival, they confirmed that agents of the Local Police were already in the area and had proceeded to close the road to facilitate access for emergency services
The fire had been previously extinguished by a neighbor, which prevented the flames from spreading to other rooms of the house. The sole occupant of the property was outside and presented respiratory problems, so she was attended to at the scene by healthcare personnel from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) and subsequently transferred to the hospital for evaluation.
The fire affected the kitchen of the dwelling. Once the personnel verified that the temperature had descended to normal levels and that there was no risk of reignition, they informed the CECOES of the completion of the intervention and considered the service concluded
