Officers of the Local Police of Tías have charged two young men with causing damage to street furniture, parked vehicles and other types of "belongings" on Avenida Marítima de Las Playas, in Puerto del Carmen. The police became aware of these events in the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday.

The agents found that they had broken the rearview mirrors and windows of at least eight vehicles. They also destroyed four windows of public telephone booths and an advertising marquee, belonging to the Tías City Council.

The police managed to identify two young men, one native to the island and the other of foreign origin. The young men were charged with these acts, "emphasizing the economic damage and the image that these events cause to the opinion of people who visit the tourist area", according to the statement from the Local Police of Tías.

The Civil Guard from the Tías station also participated in these actions.
