The Civil Guard of Tías has arrested two tourists accused of allegedly assaulting a taxi driver.

A statement from the Armed Institute explains that the events originated in Puerto del Carmen, when two British tourists requested the services of a taxi for a trip in the aforementioned town. Upon reaching the destination point, a tourist complex located on Anzuelo Street where they were staying, both had a discussion with the taxi driver about the price to pay for the journey.

The British men assaulted the taxi driver, 42 years old, who was injured, suffering minor injuries in various parts of his body, with bruises that required several stitches on his face.

For this assault, the Civil Guard of the Main Post of Tías arrested the British subjects A.Q. and J.A.Q., 47 and 45 years old, accused of a crime of injury, being placed at judicial disposal before Court Number Five of Arrecife.
