The Local Police of Yaiza carried out two operations this week, managing to recover stolen objects from vacation homes in the town of Playa Blanca and arrest the alleged perpetrators. The arrested are two minors, who were placed at the disposal of the Civil Guard of Yaiza for transfer to the Prosecutor's Office for Minors.

Following a call on October 12 that reported a robbery in a house in Playa Blanca, Local Police officers went to the scene and managed to arrest two 16-year-olds as alleged perpetrators of the robbery. In addition, they managed to recover a large part of the stolen objects.

"Subsequent investigation efforts allowed us to conclude that one of the detained minors was also the alleged perpetrator of two other robberies, one committed on October 7 and another in the morning of the same day, October 12," they say from the City Council. The stolen objects were recovered and returned to their owners.

"With this action, the Local Police of Yaiza has managed to arrest the perpetrator of a series of robberies in homes that had alarmed the population of the affected area," they add from the Consistory. The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, and the head of the Local Police have thanked the citizens for their collaboration, "which was decisive in identifying the suspects and finding the stolen items."
