The Local Police of Tías has reported the managers of two hospitality establishments in the tourist town of Puerto del Carmen for alleged infractions related to the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors and carrying out their activity outside of permitted hours.
The Tías City Council, through the Local Police, has reinforced surveillance and control services in certain areas of the municipality during the summer season, especially in areas with high attendance and in the vicinity of commercial and leisure establishments.
During the recent development of these services, officers detected certain irregularities related to the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages affecting minors, for which the corresponding checks were carried out, resulting in reports.
The mayor, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, states that "the protection of minors and compliance with regulations are priorities for the Tías City Council, and from the Local Police we maintain an especially intense surveillance and control effort during the summer months."
Cruz Saavedra points out that "we cannot allow minors to be facilitated access to alcohol or for certain establishments to carry out their activity in breach of established hours." In this regard, he highlights that the actions taken by the Local Police "respond to a preventive and control effort aimed at guaranteeing safety, coexistence, and compliance with the rules in our municipality."
The mayor also thanks "the work carried out by the Local Police officers, especially during these times of greater attendance," and recalls that "the collaboration of establishments and all citizens is fundamental to guarantee a safe and responsible environment, especially for our minors."
