Two cars set on fire in Titerroy

Last Wednesday around 02:30 in the morning, two cars caught fire in the capital city neighborhood of Titerroy. The Neighborhood Association of the area points out that the neighbors of Carlos III and Manuel José Álvarez streets woke up alarmed by the strong smell of smoke that entered their houses due to the flames coming from the two vehicles.

In addition to these two cars that were burned, the Local Police of Arrecife indicates that the fire affected two others that suffered damage. Likewise, in the report they state that it could have been intentionally caused or caused by an electrical failure. However, the president of the Association, Ismael Montero, points out that "it is very rare for two electrical failures to occur in two cars that are not on the same street".

Thus, the Neighborhood Association affirms that the inhabitants of Titerroy "are very alarmed by what is happening in the neighborhood lately" and point out that the president, Ismael Montero, "has not tired of demanding, for many months, more police presence in the neighborhood, both on patrol and on foot, without having received any type of response to date".

It also points out that the City Council and the Island Directorate of the Government have to take "urgent measures to guarantee the safety of the residents of the neighborhood".
