Officers of the Local Police of Tías arrested two people in the early morning of November 18 as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force in a well-known restaurant in Puerto del Carmen.
As reported by the Headquarters of the Local Police of Tías, the detainees I.V.E., 37 years old and a native of Seville, and D.J.A.P.D., 33 years old and a native of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, were arrested after receiving a phone call alerting that two individuals were forcing the door of a premises.
"The service units were sent to the area, and the interception of both individuals near the scene was achieved, proceeding to their arrest and instruction of the appropriate procedures," police sources indicate. Both were seized with "various amounts of cash, a screwdriver and other objects that were presumably stolen from the premises."
Their possible participation in other crimes is being investigated
After their arrest, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the Civil Guard of Tías, upon receiving information that they could be involved in the commission of other crimes that were being investigated by said body.
The Councilor for Local Police of Tías, Mame Fernández, has congratulated the police force "for the effectiveness of their interventions and for the diligence in attending to the call of the affected citizens."
