The 54-year-old British tourist who was injured when a railing gave way at a hotel in Costa Teguise remains in serious condition in the José Molina Orosa Hospital, as La Voz has learned.

The event took place in the early hours of Saturday, October 25th, at approximately 1:30 AM, when two tourists fell from a height of approximately six meters when a railing gave way. As a result, one of them died.

In addition, the Civil Guard of Lanzarote is investigating the causes of the accident, as confirmed by the Benemérita to La Voz.

Furthermore, the Civil Guard rules out that it is a case of balconing, a common practice carried out by tourists in hotels where they jump from balconies into swimming pools.
