Following the criticism for the proliferation of drinking in the municipality of Tías, the City Council affirms that it has launched "action and prevention measures" by the Local Police and with the collaboration of the Civil Guard, specifically in the Puerto del Carmen area.

According to a statement, in the last two weekends a total of 70 reports have been filed for infractions for noise, alcohol consumption in the street and non-compliance with Covid-19 protocols.

Specifically, 34 complaints were for not respecting these prevention measures against the coronavirus established by the Government of the Canary Islands, while 25 correspond to breaches of the Law on classified activities and public shows, in reference to the level of noise not allowed; and another 11 reports are for infractions of the Citizen Security Protection Law.

The City Council has reported these police devices this Tuesday, after the massive fight that was recorded on Saturday night in the Vadero area of Puerto del Carmen, where several young people even threw chairs from the terraces.
