Three people in distress have been rescued from the water at Las Anclas beach, in Costa Teguise. The incident occurred around 12.30 pm, as reported to La Voz by the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium.
One of those affected, a 42-year-old, showed mild drowning symptoms and has been transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital, as reported by 112.
According to the manager of the Consortium, Enrique Espinosa, the three people are of Polish nationality, residing in Germany. The three were spending their holidays at the Hotel Oasis, in Costa Teguise.
The woman went into the water to take a bath and the current dragged her behind the breakwater. The other two people jumped into the water to try to help her and finally the three had to be rescued by lifeguards from the Hotel Oasis.
Agents from the Security and Emergency Consortium have also attended the scene.
