The Civil Guard of Lanzarote has investigated three people as alleged perpetrators of a continuous crime of robbery with force inside several vehicles in the tourist town of Costa Teguise, in the municipality of Teguise.
According to the armed institute, the investigation began after receiving a notice alerting to the existence of several vehicles that presented "considerable damage" on an avenue in Costa Teguise, next to an unfinished construction popularly known as "the skeleton" of Costa Teguise.
They broke the passenger window with large stones
Once at the scene, agents verified that three vehicles had suffered the fracture of the passenger window, oriented towards the sidewalk, by throwing large stones.
Given these facts, the corresponding investigation was initiated to clarify what happened and identify those possibly responsible. In the course of the inquiries, agents collected and analyzed images from security cameras located in the surroundings. Through these images, they were able to observe three people breaking the vehicles' windows.
During the viewing of one of the recordings, one of the alleged perpetrators was recognized by Civil Guard agents. After being arrested and having his statement taken, this person identified the other two individuals who allegedly participated in the robberies with force.
The actions carried out allowed to determine that the three investigated resided in the aforementioned abandoned construction, according to the Civil Guard. Once the proceedings were completed, the corresponding police file was sent to the Instruction Section of the Court of First Instance of Arrecife, Plaza nº 4, on duty.
