The Civil Guard arrested three people last Sunday, May 18, at a routine checkpoint on the LZ-10 road, accused of a crime against public health. When the agents of the Reserve and Security Group who were at that checkpoint stopped a vehicle, they found several marijuana plants inside, which gave a total weight of 2.2 kilos.
At that moment, they proceeded to arrest the three occupants of the car, I.G.C., A.A.E. and I.D.H.L., all of them of Spanish nationality and residents of the municipality of Arrecife, and seized all the marijuana plants.
The detainees, together with the seized drugs, have been placed at the disposal of the corresponding court on duty in the town of Arrecife.
According to the Civil Guard in a statement, the Reserve and Security Group "periodically carries out support work in the area of citizen security to the different territorial units of the Civil Guard in the autonomous community of the Canary Islands".
