The Local Police of Arrecife (UPAM) and the Animal Protection Center of Arrecife rescued last November 7 at 5:00 p.m. three dogs locked in a room of a house in the capital of Lanzarote. The events occurred in the area of the Lomo neighborhood in the capital of Lanzarote.
As reported by the agents through their social networks, they were "surrounded by excrement and had no water or food."
During the intervention, and as can be seen in the video, the animals "did not stop showing great enthusiasm" when released. A good behavior despite the conditions of "vulnerability and neglect" in which they were found.
The owner of these animals has already given up the dogs, so they can now be adopted, according to police sources to La Voz.
The animals have been transferred to the Animal Protection Center of Arrecife, where they have been cared for, bathed and cared for, and are waiting for a family to adopt them. The protector makes a call to promote adoption, as the center is saturated.
This specific case, that of leaving the animals permanently in a confined space, is a serious infraction, which the Law of March 28, on the protection of the rights and welfare of animals, includes sanctions from 10,001 euros to 50,000 euros.
