The Local Police of Haría has arrested three people this Tuesday in Arrieta as alleged perpetrators of a scam "posing as members of an association of disabled and deaf-mute people", according to reports from the Security area of the City Council.

The events occurred around 5:15 p.m. this Monday when Local Police officers moved to Arrieta "following a warning from the neighbors, who claimed that three people were demanding amounts of money in the name of a social entity, not only in the town but also in Tabayesco".

From the Department of Security, they have explained that after identifying these three people and "verifying that it was a deception", the Local Police requested the collaboration of the Civil Guard, who proceeded to arrest them and transfer them to the Costa Teguise station. Subsequently, the three arrested were brought to judicial disposition.

From the northern Consistory, both the mayor, Marci Acuña, and the head of the Area, Soraya Brito, have asked the residents of the municipality to "take extreme precautionary measures in cases like this one" and have congratulated the Local Police force for "their prompt and diligent action".
