The Yaiza City Council suffered a robbery in the early hours of Monday to Tuesday. Apparently, and according to sources of the investigation, an undetermined number of people forced two windows on the facade to, after lowering the window shutters, access the interior of the Consistorial building.
There they rummaged through several tables and offices and managed to take the collection from the coffee vending machine and about 60 euros in cash, according to a statement from the City Council.
The alarm was raised first thing on Tuesday morning, when City Council workers entered the building to begin their working day.
Local Police and the Civil Guard's Judicial Brigade have launched an investigation to try to find those responsible for this robbery as soon as possible.
