The 57-year-old man who died on Tuesday night after being hit on the LZ-2, at the entrance to the airport, was a road worker, of Senegalese origin, from a company subcontracted by Aena, who was at that time carrying out signaling tasks in the area.
As for the driver, he is being investigated by the Civil Guard as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of reckless homicide based on the first proceedings and statements from witnesses. However, the specific causes and circumstances of the incident are yet to be determined.
However, the Civil Guard has confirmed that the driver tested negative for alcohol and drugs after the tests that were carried out after the accident, which took place at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
