The Central Operative Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard began early this Monday a search of the house of the former president of the Cabildo and current spokesman for the Canarian Coalition, Pedro San Ginés. According to La Voz, it would be crimes against the Administration and the proceedings are being instructed by court number 2, which has declared the summary secret.
According to EFE, it is a case in which crimes of embezzlement and prevarication are being investigated, among others.
Investigation sources have told Efe that they are analyzing events dating back to the period when San Ginés was in charge of the Cabildo.
After the search of the chalet, several UCO agents with Pedro San Ginés and his lawyer have moved to the Coalición Canaria office in the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
San Ginés currently has several open legal cases, including the complaint filed by Juan Manuel Sosa for coercion and falsification of the regulations for his expulsion. Another of the cases corresponds to the complaint for false testimony filed by the family of the deceased Antonio González.
