The two people who were injured this Thursday in Timanfaya fell into a hole in the National Park, as confirmed by the CEO of the CACT, Ángel Vázquez to La Voz.
It is a mother and her six-year-old daughter, who were starting the visit to the park, approached a hole where the gorse is burned with the intention of better observing the burning of plant remains. It was at that moment when the woman, who was carrying her daughter in her arms, fell through the hole.
As reported by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) this Thursday afternoon, the two injured suffered burns from contact with the steam. The woman, with serious burns, and the 6-year-old minor, with minor burns. Both were assessed and assisted by the health personnel and subsequently transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
