The pilot farm of the Re+Flota cooperative has suffered, for the second time in the last 30 days, a new case of vandalism. On this occasion, last Tuesday, January 10, the theft of the agricultural water installation and meter, located at the entrance of the farm, was reported.
For its part, the previous incident occurred on December 20, 2022, and resulted in the felling of twelve adult prickly pear trees.

Isidro Pérez, the technician responsible for this cooperative project, explained that beyond the economic cost of the damages suffered, which the cooperative estimates at around 1,000 euros, the main consequence is the "defenselessness and impotence" felt in the face of this type of behavior, "the motivation of which is unknown."
The events have already been reported to the Local Police of Tías, the municipal district where the farm is located, and its owners are waiting for the authorities to conclude something.
In that sense, the body itself has assured that surveillance will be intensified in the area "in order to prevent these events from continuing to occur."
