The National Police has opened an investigation to determine if the fire that affected four vehicles in the Arrecife marina in the early morning of this Friday, in which three of the cars were completely burned, was caused.

For its part, the Security and Emergency Consortium has expressed its conviction that both this fire, as well as the other three vehicles that occurred the previous night in Tenderete street in the capital, were caused. However, it has not been confirmed whether there is also an investigation into the latter.

Regarding the fire that occurred in the marina, according to the Consortium, the vehicles belonged "to people who live in the boats." They also pointed out that "there were security cameras" in the area, so these could be decisive in locating the perpetrators if it is finally confirmed that the fire was caused.

"We still do not have absolute certainty that it was caused," they have conveyed however from the National Police, from where they have pointed out that the investigation will focus first on determining the cause of the fire and on "looking for the presence of accelerators and other indications." After that, if it is confirmed that the fire was caused, the perpetrators would be sought.
