Agents of the National Police are investigating a robbery with violence committed at midday this past Sunday in a store in Arrecife. The events took place around 2:30 p.m. in the Argana neighborhood, in the capital of Lanzarote, and were reported to the National Police Station.
According to images shared on social media, a man dressed in a cap entered a clothing store carrying a large knife. In broad daylight and with his face uncovered, he approached the store counter, threatened the saleswoman with a knife, and took the cash register.
Everything happened in a matter of minutes, the worker first tried to evade the thief and then threw a chair at him to try to prevent him, without success, from taking the cash register.
For the moment, the National Police have not managed to identify the thief, but they are working on locating him.
