The motorcyclist who suffered a fall after colliding with the guardrail of the LZ-2 is the 28-year-old who starred in a video in which he was doing a wheelie, at full speed along the Arrecife ring road last October.

The accident took place at 12.30 this Saturday. The young man has suffered serious multiple injuries. Agents of the Civil Guard, firefighters and a basic life support ambulance have traveled to the scene. Paramedics have assisted the young man who had to be transferred to the Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife.

The 'wheelie' video was recorded on October 24 on the Arrecife ring road and began to spread on social networks. In the images you could see a motorcycle raised on one wheel circulating at full speed while a car followed it to record it. The Local Police investigation concluded later that the motorcycle reached 160 kilometers per hour.

As a result of that video, the two drivers faced a trial, accused of reckless driving and with a prison request of 2 years by the Prosecutor's Office. The motorcyclist's defense argued at all times that he was not the one driving, since he was wearing a helmet and his face could not be seen. However, the judge points out in the sentence that the authorship had been "perfectly determined". The ruling ended up acquitting both drivers of that crime of reckless driving, considering that it was not proven during the trial that these maneuvers posed a "specific danger" to the lives of other people.
