José Urbelindo Q. M, native of Arrecife and 33 years old, has been arrested for an alleged crime of robbery. The events took place at around three in the afternoon on Tuesday, when the Local Police of Arrecife was alerted by several people who had been the object of an attempted robbery in the vicinity of the Charco de San Ginés by an individual carrying a knife in his hand.
Due to these complaints, members of the Local Police moved to the area of the Charco de San Ginés and after combing the place, they found José Urbelindo struggling with a German citizen, with the intention of robbing him as well.
The police officers proceeded to his arrest and found a knife in the front pocket of the pants of the alleged perpetrator. In this way, the agents transferred the detainee to the police station, where he has been placed at the disposal of the court.
