A man of about 35 years old had to be rescued this Monday by a helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES), after suffering an incident with his paraglider in the Los Helechos area, near El Risco de Famara.
The event took place at about 12 o'clock, when the paraglider himself called the Coordinating Center for Security and Emergencies 112, reporting that he had fallen in an area of difficult access.
Although the man was not injured, he could not leave on his own, so it was necessary to mobilize resources for the rescue. Specifically, a rescuer descended from the GES helicopter to where the affected person was and proceeded to get him into the aircraft.
From there they moved to the Guacimeta airport, where the helicopter landed. There, the Civil Guard took charge of the affected person, of German nationality, and prepared the appropriate reports.
