The Court of Instruction Number 3 of Arrecife has released on provisional release the couple arrested last Saturday for alleged sexual offenses against a 5-year-old girl, who is the daughter of the arrested woman.
The biological father of the minor was the one who filed the complaint against his ex-partner and against her current partner, who are being investigated for a crime of sexual abuse.
According to the sources consulted, he was denounced for allegedly touching the girl, while the mother is being investigated for allegedly covering up the events.
After taking their statement, the duty judge decided that both should be released while the investigation continues.
However, as a precautionary measure, he issued a restraining order with respect to the mother's current partner, who will not be able to approach the minor.
