The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Costa Teguise dismantled a marijuana cultivation and processing center in Tahíche on February 23. The agents seized a total of 203 plants there. As alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health, the Civil Guard is investigating the owners of the farm where the cultivation was located, two people aged 33 and 41 respectively.
The agents of the Investigation Area of this Civil Guard unit, "based on different investigations for the prevention of drug trafficking", had collected a series of indications that pointed to the use of a farm in this town as a "point of cultivation and distribution of marijuana", explains the Benemérita.
After that investigation, the Civil Guard located the exact farm where the crops were being produced, and identified its owners. The police force points out, in this sense, that the owners of the farm collaborated "at all times with the agents, allowing entry and registration of the place", where the plants and also "numerous utensils" for their cultivation, such as fans, lamps and thermostats, were found.
After the discovery, the Civil Guard seized the 203 marijuana plants and the different utensils. The owners of the place were identified for investigation as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health. Both people have already been placed at the disposal of the Arrecife Duty Court.
