The Civil Guard reports the violent passengers who diverted a flight to Lanzarote

For disturbing the peace inside the aircraft and endangering the integrity of the crew and the rest of the passengers.

Four men who were traveling on the EasyJet flight, bound for the Tenerife South-Reina Sofía airport, were reported this Friday for disturbing the peace inside the aircraft and endangering the integrity of the crew and the rest of the passengers. The complaint will be sent to the State Aviation Safety Agency, as confirmed by sources from the Las Palmas Civil Guard Command.

Although it was initially reported that there were eight violent passengers who forced the flight diversion to Lanzarote, finally there have been four. An attitude that was about to cause a fight inside the plane and in mid-flight. The crew contacted the air traffic controllers of the Canary Islands to tell them about the difficult situation they were experiencing, requesting the change of destination of the flight, to advance their arrival on land and appease the bad behavior of the four men who were drunk. In addition, they requested the presence of Civil Guard agents on the ground.

The agents took statements from them and also from the pilot of the aircraft and the rest of the crew and passengers. The pilot made a report with what happened during the flight and this will be brought to the attention of the State Aviation Safety Agency, together with the complaints processed by the Civil Guard.
