Altercations continue on flights. A plane bound for Tenerife South had to be diverted to Lanzarote due to the violent behavior of eight of the passengers, according to air traffic controllers on their Twitter account.
The plane, an Airbus A320 from the company Easyjet, was coming from the United Kingdom, specifically from Manchester, from where it had taken off about four hours earlier. "Given the possibility of aggressions," the cabin crew has requested to divert to the island's airport.
In addition, "police presence has been coordinated to be prepared for the arrival of the plane at Lanzarote airport," they add.
