The Civil Guard drew up a report of complaint against more than 200 people in the Canary Islands for breaches of Covid during the past weekend, in which some autonomous communities were taking a holiday for the festival of San José. In the case of Lanzarote, about 40 people were reported.
According to the Benemérita, the majority of infractions that were imposed in the archipelago were for failing to comply with the curfew, followed by those of meetings that exceeded the number of people who can concentrate and the non-use of the regulatory mask.
By islands, Gran Canaria accounted for more than half of the infractions, after two illegal parties were detected in the town of Arucas and Playa de Güi-Güi, while in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura a report of complaint was drawn up for approximately 40 people per island.
The Civil Guard states that it will continue to monitor compliance with the rules established for the containment of the pandemic. Thus, the Command of the Civil Guard of Las Palmas reminds and reiterates to all citizens that during Holy Week "they must not fail to comply with the rules established for the containment of Covid-19 according to the island in which they are located."
Likewise, the Benemérita appreciates citizen collaboration when alerting to the breach of the measures by other citizens.
