The Civil Guard has dismantled a plantation with 364 marijuana plants in an isolated house located near Órzola, in the municipality of Haría. The agents arrested a person, 32 years old and of foreign nationality, and seized more than 15 kilos of drugs.
The operation took place on December 16 and was carried out by agents from the main post of Costa Teguise. As they explain in a statement, the investigation began at the beginning of October, after learning of the existence of a drug cultivation point in the northern area of the island of Lanzarote, specifically marijuana.
The police investigations carried out during the month of November determined the location of the marijuana plantation in that house, so the agents initiated the necessary procedures to carry out the corresponding entry and search of the house.
Finally, with the authorization of the Investigating Court Number 3 of Arrecife, the agents went to the house, where they proceeded to seize 364 marijuana plants "in different states of flowering". They also found two drying systems built in the garage of the house and intervened "a large amount of marijuana already dried and treated, prepared for immediate consumption and ready for distribution", as well as "utensils, herbicides and special fertilizers for cultivation".
After the registration, they proceeded to arrest G.Z., for a crime against public health. The arrested person, together with the seized drug, was already placed at the disposal of the Arrecife Duty Court.
